So What is with the Airplane?

I imagine the few of you who frequent our little page are wondering with is up with the airplane in the picture at the top of the page.

So here is the story:  Karen changed the layout of our blog a few weeks ago, and could not find the usual mountain picture we use as a back ground, but she did find a picture with one of my old RC airplanes in it.

Over the years, I have had quite a few hobbies, Karen has even taken to calling me a ‘hobbyaholic’.  When we first moved to Tehachapi, I began flying model airplanes.  The airplane in the background picture is a scale model of a Stuka dive bomber I built a few years ago.

The model was unusual because not only was it a scale german dive bomber, but it was also powered by an electric motor.

The airplane was very easy to fly, and looked very good in the air.  It had nearly a 5 foot wide wing span, and was very impressive in the air.

I sold the airplane about a year ago.  I hope whom ever has it now has not crashed it!
